Philipp Arnold

Master Student

Phillipp did his master thesis on "parametric amplifiers" here in the lab together with Christopher Eichler. He has also completed a semester thesis here in spring 2008.

Daniel Bechstein

ETHZ micro- and nanosystems student

Daniel has been a semester thesis student in our group during the spring term 2009.

Daniel will do his PhD at Stanford University.

Romeo Bianchetti

graduated in physics from ETH Zurich and joined our lab as one of the first graduate students in spring 2006. He completed his PhD in summer 2010 and is now working for ABB in Switzerland.

Francois Bianco

was a semester student with us in spring 2007.

He is a physics student at ETH Zurich. Currently he is doing his Diploma thesis at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory.

Deniz Bozyigit

has done a semester thesis project in our lab during fall 2007 and spring 2008. He has rejoined our lab for his masters thesis in summer 2009. Since fall 2010 he is doing a PhD in the Nano Electronics and Nano Photonics research group at the Integrated Systems Laboratory of ETH Zurich.

Will Braff

was working with us as a summer student from Jul. - Oct. 2006.

He graduated from Yale College ('05), New Haven, CT. Now he works at a small electrochemistry research company near Boston called Giner and is a part time PhD student in Physics at MIT, Cambrdige, MA.

Has completed his masters thesis in our lab in summer 2009 and previously worked on a semester thesis project with us.

Andreas Eggenberger

was a Semester Student in winter 2011.

Parisa Fallahi

was a PostDoc with us from Sept. 2006 to Aug. 2007.

She has completed her PhD in Applied Physics at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. Previously she has received B.S. in Physics from Imperial College, London, U.K.. She is now with Atac Imamoglu, at ETH Zurich.

Andreas Fragner

has been a diploma student in our lab from September 2007 to August 2008 supported by an European Union Erasmus fellowship. He graduated in physics from University of Vienna, Austria in July 2008.

Andreas has been admitted into the Applied Physics Phd program at Yale University in spring 2008. He plans to work on hybrid quantum systems in the lab of Rob Schoelkopf.

Martin Goeppl

has been a PhD student with us from April 2006 to May 2009. Previously he has completed a masters degree in physics at TU Munich, Germany. Now Martin is employed with Sensirion.

Christian Gross

Christian completed his master thesis here in summer 2010 and continued as a research assistant. Since Summer 2011 he is doing his PhD at the National University of Singapur.

Georg Kucsko

Has been a research project student with us in winter 2008/2009. Now Georg is a graduate student in the group of Misha Lukin at Harvard University.

Peter Leek

completed a PhD in Physics in 2006 at Cambridge University. Peter was awarded a European Union Marie Curie Fellowship (01/2007-12/2008) to work on quantum information processing using superconducting circuits and worked in our lab as a PostDoc until 2009. From 2010 he joined the Nanophysics Group of Klaus Ensslin at ETH. Since the end of 2011 Peter is a EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellow in the Department of Physics at Oxford University.

Gebhard Littich

Gebhard has done a master thesis together with Hartmut Haeffner at the ion trap group at UC Berkeley and Andreas Wallraff. He previously joined our lab for his semester thesis in fall 2008 and his bachelor thesis in spring 2009.

Peter Maurer

has been working in our lab as a semester thesis student in spring 2007 and as a diploma thesis student from February 2008 to August 2008. He graduates with a diploma in physics from ETH Zurich in September 2008.

Peter was awarded one of world-wide 30 International Fulbright Science and Technology Awards granted by the Fulbright Program fully supporting his PhD at a U.S. institution of his choice. In Spring 2008 he was admitted into the physics program at Harvard University where he plans to work on nitrogen vacancy centers in diamond in the group of Misha Lukin starting in fall 2008.

Meinrad Sidler

joined our lab for a semester thesis project during the spring term 2010, and continued as a research assistant until autumn 2010.

Simon Schmidlin

has been a semester thesis student with us in spring 2008 and a masters thesis student from fall 2008 to spring 2009 working on superconducting circuits for quantum information processing. Currently he is doing his PhD with Carol Webster at NPL in collaboration with Phil Meeson at Royal Holloway in the U.K. where he works on quantum phase slips.

Priska Studer

has been a semester thesis student in our lab in spring 2007 and did her diploma thesis from February 2008 to August 2008. Jonah Waissman

was working with us as a summer student from Jun.-Aug. 2006 and Dec. 2006 - Jan. 2007 supported by an Intel sponsored fellowship.

He is a graduate (`07) from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Now he is a Applied Physics PhD student at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. He is working on his PhD thesis project at the Weizmann Institute with Shahal Ilani.

Wolf Wüster

Has been a semester thesis student with us and is now doing a PhD in the Quantum Photonics Group at ETH Zurich

Will Zeng

joined our group as a summer student from June to August 2010. He is an undergraduate at Yale University where he also does research at the Quantronics Lab. His interests include the philosophy of science, rowing, and poetics. In fall 2010 Will was awarded one of the prestigious Rhodes scholarships to do a Masters at Oxford starting in the fall of 2011.
