Nicolas Schmid rejoined our group in fall 2025, after starting his external Master’s thesis in the Quantum Circuit Group of Prof. Benjamin Huard at ENS Lyon. His project aims to leverage the NVIDIA DGX Quantum platform to improve qubit control using GPU-accelerated reinforcement learning, optimizing control pulses for arbitrary state preparation in a 3D cavity coupled to a transmon qubit. He had previously joined our group in the Spring Semester 2024 to carry out a semester project within the ETH Zurich Master programme (MSc ETH Quantum Engineering).
